FREE SPACE MODEL TAB HELP

Enter the distance between the transmitter and receiver, and
the transmission frequency, then click Calculate to determine
path loss in dB.

Valid Input:
Distance: 0.001 km to 100,000,000 km (0.0007 mi to 62,137,119 mi)
Frequency: Any positive numeric value (MHz)

Features:
  - Forward mode: Enter distance and frequency to get path loss
  - Reverse mode: Enter path loss and frequency to get distance
  - Apply button: Opens Link Budget calculator with current path loss
  - Graph button: Plots distance vs. path loss curve

The Free Space Path Loss model calculates radio wave attenuation
based on the Inverse-Square law, assuming an unobstructed line-of-sight
path with no reflections or atmospheric effects.
